Overall, it is looking pretty great. But like most, I am disappointed somewhat and hoping this is a rough 3D render. To me, the original concept screenshots/art on the Kick page look way cooler. It had a cool, artsy look to it with nice crisp style. Mighty9 here looks bad and could be so much cooler (especially his face!). It's reminding me of when I got the first Wii years ago, and saw how crappy the Mii's graphics looked on that system. It was just unacceptable... and unfortunately, M9's face really looks like a Mii here. Hopefully the final product for Mighty No. 9 ends up way more polished than this. It would be grand for them to be able to pull off that retro feel/gameplay and still have it feel modern graphicswise. Fingers crossed!

Honestly, I think the 3D models are what's really driving home most of the complaints. Everything else looks pretty solid to me. Let's just hope that the 3D models get an update soon so people can stop panicking about the image and start looking at the actual game being displayed here.

Really liked this trailer! I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about with the ruined face and "everything that looks weird".
Having not seen much of the development, i'm happy with the final look, but would like to see more. I did notice in the first gameplay video, the running animation for Beck looks smooth as in he doesn't move his head or doesn't look like he's jumping, but looks straight, while in trailer video he kinda jumps with every step.

Something else I did notice that is almost unforgivable is the first 3D image of Beck at like 0:17. Why are his legs like that??? They look like 1 whole piece and not 2 legs.

That's just the T-Pose a character has when they have no skeleton attached. It will look like this regardless of intersecting Polygons. Given that Beck's legs are large they are very likely to overlap. The legs being straight instead of slightly seperated is just how all devs do the initial pose, which is why it's called the T-Pose. There's a reason for it but I can't remember. I think it has to do with getting the right skeletal length for the body. That way he can move with evenly spaced skeletal bones.

While some may not be happy with the art direction the final game is taking, from a gameplay standpoint it feels like I'll be able to pick out Beck fairly easily from the background in most circumstances, which is a big, big plus. I only consider graphics an issue if they get in the way of gameplay (environmental vs. object recognition, etcetera).

I'm pleased to see some of the transformations in action! One of my fears was in that the basic run and gun was already so well-primed to quick, smooth movement through the stage that they'd appear to only slow things down. Oddly enough, for a while I thought adhering to the Mega Man touches of slowly building an arsenal would instead be disruptive to the core gameplay flow that encourages you to dash through enemies after they accumulate enough damage.

It's good to see some of them actually do have key situations where they're useful (the electric one vs. close groups), so I very much look forward to playing with them!

While I do echo some sentiments about how preorder bonuses vs. how much backers are actually receiving will pan out (in my case I was only a $20 guy and I'm content with what I'm receiving), I can't wait to play the game. For whatever faults there might be in the audiovisual department as others are pointing out, I'm sure the game will play just fine! I chipped in for a quality platformer from veterans in the industry, and by golly, I'm of full belief I'm truly getting one.

September can't come soon enough.

This cannot exist in 2015, and much less be the result of 2 years of work from a 4 million dollar production. This is beyond "amateur"... This is pure mediocrity!! If a fan can do it better in hours, you are doing something... really... freaking... wrong!! ╬

The rest of the game though is pretty solid. I agree I don't like the art direction but I don't think they exactly cheaped out on it we just don't like what they chose. But the most importat part is the gameplay and from what I've seen the gameplay looks pretty solid.

Wow a Signature edition Comes with Poster Artbook His Sig & a Limted Numbered Figure all for $59.99, Part of me is Happy to Buy it as this means my $500 set just got bigger but the other half of me feels like...

What about the ppl that spent $60 backing this and wont get half this stuff unless they pay extra,not to mention its sold out already most places :/
Then there is the problem of the mighty Team still not making it clear if there "Loyal Backers" will be Getting the Cross buy.. if we lets say choose the PS4 copy do we also get the ps4/ps3/psv version or do we still have to chose each seperate Version?

I'm not sure how you think that's going to make your $500 set bigger, unless I missed an update.  Last word I heard was that this retail release doesn't have anything to do with the backer rewards, so no backers will be getting the statue or any of the other merch.  We will be getting the DLC for free, however.

Comcept answered a couple questions already. The pre-order bonus is JUST the Retro DLC. Nothing more so no Golden Beck or Exclusive Backer transformation for them.

They are working on getting the game to be cross-buy. No promises but they heard us and are working on it.

All the DLC they get, we get but for free. No pre-order necessary, no special edition required.

Yea I Read there post about that & knew are DLC would stay Backer Only, However I'm still wondering about the two questions I named being.
1# Will my Golden Beck DLC be Cross-Buy/ Cross Download or whatever you wana call it xD or will it just be one system, meaning I have to choose ps4 or Vita?

Jon posted somewhere that your DLC will not carry over via Cross-Buy if they get it. You select your console to recieve the DLC and that's it.

Jon also mentioned they are working on Cross-Buy, so no details on that yet. If I find something in the forums though I will let you know.

They know about the special transformation and I spoke with Nick about it. He was planning on providing info about it in an update. They have their updates planned in advanced of what they are going to reveal. So they are going to fit it somewhere in the coming months. It will feature the Gold Beck and info on the exclusive transformation.

But more importantly they didn't forget about it which is a good thing.

now I can start to think about my versions accordingly, and yes this is very good news that this is not forgotten.
I just wish this kind of information you say you got from Jon/Nick would be made into an actually update
for the masses seeing as alot of ppl have these questions..

but also I had a good idea that they might be saving that Golden/Backer Only Transformation as a surprise (: glad to know I was right

& Thanks for keeping an eye out for that because Id like to know if there able to make this happen, Im sure though now after hearing this info from you that I will hear it from them before it matters, which is before the survey..& thats all that matters, I dont want to pick before this Cross-Buy Thing is decided.
